Darby Bybee Joins KHBS-KHOG Weather Team

Hearst Television’s ABC duopoly of KHBS-KHOG Fort Smith-Fayetteville, Ark. (DMA 101), on Wednesday announced the addition of Darby Bybee to the station’s weather team. Bybee’s addition brings the stations’ weather team to four meteorologists.

Bybee has more than four years of meteorology experience, most recently working at KARK Little Rock, Ark. Prior to KARK, Bybee worked as a meteorologist at KLKN Lincoln, Neb.

Bybee, an experienced storm chaser, has logged nearly 45-thousand miles in 23 states while reporting on tornadoes and hail/wind events. His degree in meteorology was earned from Ball State University.

The station also recently added four Skywarn-trained storm chasers. The 40/29 Storm Chasers are deployed whenever severe weather is in the forecast. “Our 40/29 Storm Chasers use the most advanced technology within their storm chasing vehicles to track weather and provide live reporting,” Shepperd says.
