Deanno Named KPIX-KBCW Chief Meteorologist

Paul Deanno has been named chief meteorologist for the CBS duopoly in San Framcisco (DMA 6) KPIX (CBS0-KBCW (CW), effective Aug. 30. He will anchor the Monday-Friday early evening and late newscasts.

Deanno comes to the Bay Area from KOMO Seattle where he was a meteorologist for the past three years.  Prior to that, he was chief meteorologist at WTVJ Miami, and meteorologist at KYW Philadelphia and KENS San Antonio, Texas.

He also previously worked as a news anchor and reporter in Spokane, Wash.; Medford, Ore.; and Utica, N.Y.

Deanno has have filled in on both The Today Show and Good Morning America, and he has also provided severe weather coverage for MSNBC, CNN, The Weather Channel and NBC Nightly News.

Deanno received a communications degree with high honors from Syracuse University, studied weather at Mississippi State University and holds a certificate in Broadcast Meteorology, as well as seals from the National Weather Association and American Meteorological Society.
