Larry Delia moves from head of Tribune’s WPMT Harrisburg, Pa., to run WXIN and WTTV.

Tribune Broadcasting has named Larry Delia vice president-general manager of the company’s Indianapolis television stations, WXIN (Fox) and WTTV (CW).  Delia has been VP-GM of Tribune’s WPMT Harrisburg, PA, since summer 2008, and served in the same capacity at Tribune’s New Orleans duopoly, WGNO-WNOL from 2002 to 2008.

As VP-GM of WPMT, Delia has overseen the expansion of the station’s local news offerings from 17 hours per week to 32 hours per week, the debut of news in high-definition, and a quadrupling of traffic to WPMT’s website.  Among adults 25 to 54, the station leads the market in primetime access, primetime and late local news.

Previously, Delia was general manager of WVNY Burlington, Vt., from 1998 to 2002. Prior to that, he spent 10 years at WTIC Hartford, Conn., which was acquired by Tribune in 1997. He joined that station as a sales account executive in 1988, was promoted to local sales manager in 1992, national sales manager in 1996 and general sales manager in 1997.
