Denice Pelster Joins KWWL Weather Team

Denice Pelster is joining Quincy Newspapers-owned NBC affiliate KWWL Cedar Rapids, Iowa (DMA 89),as morning meteorologist. She will appear on the weekend edition of Today in Iowa, co-hosting with Danielle Wagner. Pelster’s first day on the air will be April 21.

A Midwest native, Pelster grew up on the family farm in Nebraska, where she earned a healthy respect for the power of the weather. Her interest in weather led to a decision to pursue a career in meteorology. She earned her meteorological degree from the University of Nebraska in Lincoln.

Pelster previously worked on the air at KLKN Lincoln, Neb.
