The former assistant news director of WCPO Cincinnati will lead the multiplatform newsroom for LIN’s Dayton NBC affiliate starting March 11.

Denise Eck Named WDTN News Director
LIN-owned WDTN Dayton, Ohio (DMA 63), has added Denise Eck as news director of the NBC affiliate. She succeeds Steve Diorio who left in December 2012.
Eck comes to Dayton from Cincinnati where she has been the assistant news director of WCPO since 2010. Under her guidance, WCPO was awarded Best Newscast by Cincinnati Magazine.
Prior to her stint with WCPO, Eck was the news director of KTKA Topeka, Kan.
In her new role, Eck will provide strategic direction, leadership and operational management for the WDTN multiplatform newsroom.
Eck will begin her duties the week of March 11.
