‘Dish Nation’ Debut Delivers Demos

The new syndicated newsmagazine from Twentieth Television launched Monday with a 0.7 rating/2 share. Among its high points are Philadelphia, Dallas, Boston, Atlanta and Houston.

Twentieth Television’s Dish Nation premiered on Monday to a 0.7 rating and 2 share, down 22% from its year-ago time slots average and down 30% from its average lead-in rating (1.0/2), based on Nielsen metered-market ratings.

Dish is a newsmagazine where radio DJs on five stations, like WPLJ-FM New York, talk about the day’s entertainment news and celebrity gossip.

On Fox Television Station’s MNT affiliate WWOR New York, it had 0.3/1 at 6 p.m. with a second airing generating a 0.4/1 at 11 p.m.

On Fox’s WTXF Philadalphia at  12:30 p.m., it had a 0.5/3 among adults 18-49, beating its year-ago time period by 67%. It came in second among men 18-49 and improved on its year-ago time time period by 250%.

In Dallas at 11:30 p.m. on KDFW, it ranked second in the time period with a 0.7/3, beating the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, Jimmy Kimmel, Jimmy Fallon and sitcoms.

In Boston at 7:30 p.m. on Fox’s WFXT, it delivered a 1.2/2 household rating, up 33% over The Simpsons’ September 2011 delivery; a 0.7/2 adults 18-49 delivery, up 17% vs. Sept ’11 and a 0.7/2 in men 18-49 (up 17% vs. last September.

BRAND CONNECTIONS

On Fox affiliate KTTV Los Angeles, it had 0.5/2 at 12:30 p.m. and a 0.5/1 at 6:30 p.m., down from a 1.0/2 for its lead-in TMZ at 6 p.m.

In Chicago on Fox affiliate WFLD, it had a 0.8/2 at 5:30 p.m., down from TMZ’s 1.2/3 lead in, and it had a 0.7/1 at 10:30 p.m., down from TMZ’s 0/9/2.
