‘Dr. Phil’ Season Premiere To Feature Burke Ramsey

Dr. Phil will start its 15th season next month with a three-part interview with Burke Ramsey, older brother of JonBenet Ramsey, the show’s syndicator, CBS Television Distribution, announced on Monday.

The show is ballyhooing the interview as an “exclusive” interview that will reveal “shocking, never-before-heard details” about the 1996 murder of 6-year-old JonBenet in her family’s home in Boulder, Colo., on the day after Christmas.

According to the show, Burke Ramsey, 29, has never been interviewed by anyone anywhere. Phil McGraw’s interview with him will air over three episodes of Dr. Phil, starting with the season premiere on Monday, Sept. 12, continuing on Tuesday, Sept. 13, and winding up the following Monday, Sept. 19.

The company’s announcement revealed nothing about what Ramsey said in the apparently extensive interview. In the years following his sister’s murder, Burke, who was 9 when the crime was committed, was even suggested in various news media as a suspect. JonBenet’s killer has never been found.
