Duke Castiglione Joins WCVB As Weekend Anchor

Duke Castiglione will join Hearst-owned ABC affiliate WCVB Boston (DMA 10) as weekend evening anchor and general assignment reporter beginning in January.

He will co-anchor with Nichole Berlie, and will also report during the week. 

 Castiglione joins WCVB from WNYW New York where he is sports anchor as well as host of the Sunday night program Sports Extra. He has covered multiple Super Bowls, World Series, and hosted numerous television and radio sports programs and special events.

Prior to WNYW, Castiglione was a sports reporter with Boston’s WHDH.  He was a sideline reporter at ESPN for Major League Baseball and College Football games.

Before that, Castiglione was the morning sports anchor and reporter for New York’s WCBS.  Castiglione was also the host of NY1’s live call-in program Sports on 1. He began his news career first at Cape 11 News in Hyannis, Mass., and later at WGGB Springfield, Mass.

Castiglione graduated from Stonehill College in Easton, Mass.
