Election Returns A Big Deal At WJLA

A 10-story tall display on the ABC affiliate’s suburban Washington building will show election returns in real time beginning at 7 p.m. tonight.

Sinclair’s ABC affiliate in WJLA Washington (DMA 7) has big plans for Election Day —it will project 10-story tall election returns in real time at the top of the station’s 33-story Rosslyn, Va., headquarters.

In partnership with Quince Imaging, the station will provide the 110 ft. tall by 200 ft. wide election day data display as a public service beginning at 7 p.m. tonight.

“There is no doubt this is one of the biggest presidential elections of our lifetime,” said WJLA Director of News Mitch Jacob, “and what better way to showcase and share this story with our community as it unfolds than with 10-story tall real-time returns on the side of our Rosslyn, Va., home.”

“We are in the business of using innovative technology to showcase memorable moments in life,” said Quince Imaging’s COO Scott Williams. “It’s going to be a remarkable night for so many, and we are proud to partner with WJLA-TV to make it even more so.”
