Entertainment Studios Launches Legacy.TV

Entertainment Studios Inc. today announced the launch of its seventh linear HD television network: Legacy.TV. The new network is dedicated to African-American history and biographies, and features a broad range of original programming, including:

  • Exclusive biographies of influential and successful African Americans from every facet of American society.
  • The real history of African Americans, from the atrocities of slavery to the triumph of a successful presidential campaign.
  • Talk shows.
  • News.
  • Celebrity interviews.
  • Event specials.

“The mission of Legacy.TV is to celebrate African American excellence everywhere,” said Byron Allen, founder, chairman-CEO of Entertainment Studios. “Our goal and commitment is to make Legacy.TV an engaging and compelling platform which communicates the entire African-American journey. All content will be originally produced in-house to insure the highest level of creative quality, as well as the ability to distribute our content globally on all platforms.”

Legacy.TV is slated to launch during the first quarter of 2012, and is the only African-American targeted network that is wholly-owned by an African American, according to Entertainment Studios.

Come on; when the heck did their six other linear networks launch? Does anybody watch them outside of the control room(s). Or is it control room?
