DMA 40: LAS VEGAS

Entravision Closes On Purchase Of KMCC

Entravision, the Spanish-language TV and radio broadcaster, has closed on its $3.55 million purchase of independent KMCC Las Vegas (DMA 40) from Cranston Acquisition LLC of Chicago.

Headed by CEO Walter Ulloa, the publicly traded Entravision owns 54 TV stations and is the largest affiliate of Univision and UniMas.

Greg J. Guy of Patrick Communications represented Cranston in the deal.

Entravision also owns KINC Las Vegas, and in its FCC application it said the deal did not violate the FCC’s prohibition against owning two stations in a market because neither station is among the market’s top four rated and the market will still have more than eight independently owned stations after the deal closes.
