ES Hires Mark Devitre As General Counsel

Entertainment Studios Inc., on Monday announced the hiring of industry veteran Mark DeVitre as executive vice president and general counsel.

In his new capacity, DeVitre will oversee business and legal affairs pertaining to all Entertainment Studios broadcast syndication operations, cable networks, content, online strategies, financing, talent and programming license agreements.

DeVitre was SVP of business affairs and operations for Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution, where he was responsible for leading the division’s business/legal affairs, operations, development, and strategy as the studio expanded its distribution into digital media.

Prior to Warner Bros., DeVitre was SVP of operations for FX network and general manager of Fox Movie Channel. He also held numerous business and legal affairs posts with Philips Interactive Media, Warner Home Video, and Multimedia Entertainment.

DeVitre earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from UCLA, and a law degree from Southwestern University School of Law.
