Estrella TV Slots Bio Miniseries On Jenni Rivera

Hispanic  broadcast network Estrella TV has produced a 10-episode miniseries following the life and career of singer Jenni Rivera. Jenni — La Vida de Una Diva will make its U.S. broadcast debut on Friday, Nov. 15, at 7 p.m. ET. The miniseries will continue on a regular schedule Monday through Friday at 7 p.m.

In this original production, Jacqueline Alcalá stars as Rivera, along with actors Damian Alcazar, Julio Mannino, Rodrigo Murray, Andrés Palacios and many more. Estrella TV says the miniseries “will take viewers on an emotional and dramatic journey through her life and career as she follows her family’s musical heritage and tries her luck in the male-dominated world of regional Mexican music. With the support of Pepe Garza, the legendary radio programmer, and the Que Buena radio station in Los Angeles, Jenni’s unwavering faith, determination and incredible talent took her music career all the way to the top of the business.”

At the peak of her career as “La Diva de La Banda,” Rivera’s life was cut short when she lost her life in a plane crash on the outskirts of Monterrey, Mexico.
