‘ET’ Taps CNN’s Marciano As Co-Host

The former CNN journalist Rob Marciano will join Nancy O’Dell on the CBS Television Distribution entertainment newsmagazine in January 2013.

Rob Marciano today was named co-host of CBS Television Distribution’s Entertainment Tonight, the top-rated syndicated newsmagazine, it was announced today by Linda Bell Blue, the show’s executive producer. Marciano will co-host with Nancy O’Dell beginning January 2013.

Marciano comes to ET from CNN News Group where he has been a news and weather anchor since 2003. Marciano also worked across the CNN Network as a field correspondent and fill-in anchor.

Marciano’s reports for CNN from the field during Hurricane Katrina and the BP oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico earned a Peabody Award. Prior to his work at CNN, Marciano was chief meteorologist for KATU Portland, Ore., and KXL-AM there. From 1994 to 1997, he worked as morning and then chief meteorologist for KPLC Lake Charles, La.

Marciano began his career as a weather anchor for WVIT Hartford, Conn. Before embarking on a career in television he spent three years in New York City as an equity sales trader.

Marciano holds a bachelor’s degree in meteorology from Cornell University and has the American Meteorological Society Seal of Approval.
