FCC’s Clyburn Appoints New Policy Analyst

FCC Commissioner Mignon L. Clyburn has named April Jones policy analyst and special assistant.

“April’s diverse background will be a tremendous asset in our continuing work to ensure the FCC’s policies always put consumers first,” Clyburn said.

Jones joins Clyburn’s office from Hausfeld LLP, a global antitrust law firm, where she was an attorney focusing on civil litigation matters in antitrust and consumer protection law. Prior to that, she clerked at the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative, where she worked primarily on e-commerce and telecommunications matters.

Additionally, Jones served as a political organizer on Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign.

She received her J.D. from The George Washington University School of Law, where she also completed an International Human Rights Law Program at the University of Oxford and she received her undergraduate degree from the University of Southern California.
