FCC’s Clyburn, O’Rielly, Pai On Tap For NAB
FCC Commissioners Mignon Clyburn, Michael O’Rielly and Ajit Pai will be featured in the session “Inside the Beltway Style” on Tuesday, April 8, at 2:30 p.m. during the 2014 NAB Show in Las Vegas.
During the session, NAB COO Chris Ornelas will lead a discussion with the commissioners on regulatory issues facing broadcasters, including the spectrum incentive auction, ownership regulation, radio revitalization and retransmission consent.
Commissioner Jessica Rosenworcel has also been invited to speak on the panel.
As previously announced, FCC Chairman Tom Wheeler will address the NAB Show on Tuesday, April 8, at 9 a.m. During his address, Wheeler will discuss his views on broadcasting and what his expectations are on the regulatory front in the coming years.

Not sure what Ms. Rosenworcel or Clyburn can add to the discussion. Jessica will simply tell everyone, “We need your spectrum, period.” And Mignon will do her usual waffle of “We want your spectrum but I want diversity in broadcast station ownership too.” Frankly, a person has to be crazy to want to be a broadcast station owner nowadays what with the schizophrenic leadership at the FCC. BTW, someone needs to remind Jessica about her little coda of “fairness to all stakeholders” that she used to say in connection with the incentive auction. Haven’t heard that from her lately. Of course, that phrase begs the question as to what is fair and maybe that’s why she stopped saying it.
