FMNA Names Blanchette SVP, Marketing & Comm.

FremantleMedia North America (FMNA) has hired marketing executive Kevin Blanchette as senior vice president, marketing and communications.

He will be responsible for the strategic development and implementation of all marketing, publicity and corporate public relations for FMNA, setting the brand management strategy across the entire portfolio.

Blanchette will report to FMNA President of Commercial Operations Rick Glankler and will be based at the company’s headquarters in Burbank, Calif.

With two decades of marketing experience, Blanchette most recently served as head of Hulu Originals Marketing.  Since joining Hulu in 2015, he oversaw the launches of all Hulu Originals including Casual, The Looming Tower and the  360-degree marketing campaign for The Handmaid’s Tale, which helped garner the streaming service its first Emmy and Golden Globe wins including best drama.  Additionally, the team and campaign were named one of Ad Age’s 2017 “Marketers of the Year.”

He previously spent 11 years as a marketing executive at HBO in New York, finishing his tenure as director, consumer marketing, overseeing campaigns for Game of Thrones, True Blood, Silicon Valley and Veep.

Blanchette began his career with roles at Radio City Entertainment and Fine Line Features/New Line Cinema.
