Food Network Star Sandra Lee Has Cancer Surgery

ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) — Food Network television star Sandra Lee is undergoing surgery for breast cancer.

Lee wrote in a Facebook message posted Monday night that her procedure was scheduled for Tuesday morning. The double mastectomy had been initially scheduled for last week but was delayed after Lee came down with an upper respiratory infection.

The 48-year-old lifestyle personality and live-in girlfriend of New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo (KWOH’-moh) revealed her diagnosis on ABC’s “Good Morning America.”

In her message on Facebook, Lee thanked those who offered prayers and messages of support.

Cuomo plans to take some personal time to be with Lee following the procedure.
