Fox MNT Stations Slot 9/11 Special

New York Says Thank You marks the 10th anniversary of 9/11 with stories of New Yorkers giving back. The feature film will air on Sept. 10 and 11.

Fox-owned MyNetworkTV affiliates will present the feature-length independent documentary film, New York Says Thank You to observe the 10th anniversary of 9/11. The Individual Entertainment/Walnut Hill Media film will make its broadcast television debut over the weekend of Sept. 11.

New York Says Thank You, which debuted at the 2011 Tribeca Film Festival, tells the story of four New York Says Thank You volunteers who travel around the country to help people rebuild their lives after tragedy. Directed by Scott Rettberg, alongside Executive Producers Jonathan Tisch and Jeffrey Stewart and Producer Megan Sleeper, the film conveys stories of healing and patriotic heroism through the eyes of these four New Yorkers. Featured in this documentary are Foundation volunteers Charlie Vitchers, the construction superintendent leading the Ground Zero cleanup effort, and firefighters Jamal Braithwaite and Brian Fitzpatrick.

On Saturday, Sept. 10, the following Fox-owned MyNetworkTV affiliates will broadcast the film from 8 to 10 p.m. (7-9 CT/MT): WWOR New York; WPWR Chicago; KDFI Dallas; WDCA Washington; KUTP Phoenix; WFTC Minneapolis; WRBW Orlando, Fla.; WUTB Baltimore. KTXH Houston will broadcast the film from 4 to 6 p.m. On, Sunday, Sept. 11, KCOP Los Angeles will broadcast it from 8 to10 p.m.

Director Scott Rettberg added, “On this six year journey, I have always wanted to give New York the voice to say ‘Thank You’ for the love and hope they received from the world that day. We hope the film will inspire everyone to do something kind for others on the 10th anniversary.”
