Fox Stations Reup ‘Dr. Oz’ Through 2016-17

The Sony-distributed talk show also adds seven Fox O&Os, including KTTV Los Angeles.

Sony Pictures Television’s Dr. Oz has been renewed by Fox Television Stations in afternoon time slots for three more seasons, through 2016-17 a Fox spokesperson confirms.

The station group is adding the show in seven markets, including on KTTV Los Angeles (it has been on ABC’s KABC). Fox TV Stations will now air the show in 13 markets, including on WNYW New York and WFLD Chicago.

Dr. Oz is a coproduction between Oprah Winfrey’s Harpo Studios and Sony Pictures Television. Sony was unavailable for comment.

While there was almost no question that Fox TV Stations and other groups would renew Oz, the No. 5 syndicated daytime talk show’s ratings have been down this year.

Oz’s women 18-49 rating this season through May 5 is a 1.0. Its women 25-54 rating is a 1.3.
