Jeff Gurley has been promoted to VP-director of sales for the Dallas duopoly of KDFW (Fox) and KDFI (MNT), while Shawn Gossett is named to the same post at WTVT Tampa.
Fox Ups Sales Execs In Dallas, Tampa
Fox today announced changes in sales management at its Dallas (DMA 5) duopoly of KDFW (Fox) and KDFI (MNT) and its WTVT Tampa O&O.
Jeff Gurley has been promoted to VP-director of sales for the Dallas duopoly. Effective immediately, Gurley will be responsible for overseeing the stations’ sales initiatives. Gurley succeeds Dennis Welsh who was named GM of Fox’s Orlando, Fla., duopoly in September.
Gurley has been with the stations for the last 13 years, most recently VP-general sales manager. He began at them as a national sales manager and was later promoted to a local sales manager. Prior to this, Gurley was an account executive for KDAF Dallas.
A graduate of Louisiana State University, Gurley holds a Bachelor of Science in marketing.
Named VP-general sales manager of WTVT is Shawn Gossett. He succeeds Jeff Maloney who was named the station’s GM in August. Gossett has been with WTVT for the last eight years, most recently serving for five years as the station’s local sales manager. Prior to this, he spent three years as national sales manager for the station. Gossett joined the company in 1997 as an account executive for Fox Station Sales in Detroit.
A graduate of Oakland University, Gossett holds a Bachelor of Arts in communication.
