FuboTV In Carriage Deal With Scripps Nets Interactive

FuboTV, a live streaming TV service, today announced an agreement with Scripps Networks Interactive that will add several top U.S. channels to the company’s entry-level bundle.

As a result of a new, multiyear carriage agreement, Scripps Networks’ U.S.-based brands HGTV, Food Network and Travel Channel will join the “Fubo Premier” line-up, which is currently available at an introductory rate of $34.99 per month. This includes access to each network’s live linear feed as of July 1, as well as on-demand content and the channels’ TV Everywhere “Watch” apps to follow and at no additional cost.

“Our world-class lifestyle content is a perfect complement to the fuboTV service and we are thrilled to partner with a sport centric OTT service to bring the best in class in home, food and travel programming that will delight and entertain their users,” said Henry Ahn, Scripps Networks Interactive’s president of content distribution and marketing. “This carriage deal further validates the ‘must have’ nature of Scripps content in an ever-competitive distribution landscape.”

Along with these new additions — and the five channels from CBS to launch in early July — the Fubo Premier bundle will now feature more than 60 sports, entertainment, lifestyle, news and information channels.

“Partnering with Scripps Networks allows us to round out our basic bundle nicely, complementing our core sports offering with some of the most popular programming on TV,” added David Gandler, FuboTV co-founder and CEO.

Additionally, DIY Network and Cooking Channel will be made available to Fubo Premier subscribers as part of its add-on options at a later date.

BRAND CONNECTIONS

This news comes following FuboTV’s announcement last month that it has closed its Series C fundraising round, which included an investment from Scripps Networks Interactive.
