‘Funny You Should Ask’ Hits 95% Clearance

The new comedy game show from Entertainment Studios is producing 260 episodes for a two-season commitment beginning in the fall.

Entertainment Studios Inc. said Monday that its new syndicated strip comedy game show Funny You Should Ask is now cleared in 95% percent of U.S. television markets, including New York (WLNY) Los Angeles (both KCAL and KDOC), and Chicago (WCIU), for the 2017-18 and 2018-19 seasons.

Funny You Should Ask launches its premiere season in September on television stations as well as on ESI’s cable network, Comedy.TV.  Entertainment Studios will produce 260 episodes to fulfill its two-season commitment.

A daily half-hour strip, Funny You Should Ask now boasts clearances on stations from groups including: Sinclair, Weigel, CBS, Scripps, Graham Media, Meredith, Mission, Londen, Sunbeam, Nexstar, Raycom, Titan, NRJ, Ellis Communications, Hubbard, Lilly, Cunningham, Block, OTA, California-Oregon Broadcasters, Independent Communications, Winston, Tougaloo, Shield, Rockfleet, Marquee, Sagamore Hill, News-Press Gazette, McKinnon Broadcasting, Max Media and Cowles.

Hosted by Jon Kelley (Extra, The Mole), Funny You Should Ask is a comedy game show featuring a panel of comedians who interact with contestants. In each episode, the laughs and the cash stakes increase as the contestants ask the comedians questions. Comedians appearing in the premiere week episodes include: Howie Mandel, Anthony Anderson, Tom Arnold, Louie Anderson, Sheryl Underwood, Cedric the Entertainer, Jon Lovitz, Sherri Shepherd, Natasha Leggero, Bill Bellamy, Harland Williams, Jackee, Gary Owen, Maria Bamford, Dave Coulier, Pauly Shore and Caroline Rhea.
