Gene Steinberg Tapped AS KMIR-KPSE GM

The former GM of KMIZ Columbia, Mo., will oversee OTA Broadcasting’s NBC-MNT duopoly in Palm Springs, Calif.

OTA Broadcasting-owned KMIR (NBC) and KPSE (MNT) Palms Springs, Calif. (DMA 148), has named Gene Steinberg the new VP-GM. The appointment was effective May 21. He succeeds Craig Marrs who joined the station in March 2012.

Steinberg brings more than 30 years of television management experience to Palm Springs, including stints at stations in Phoenix, Minneapolis, Miami and Boston.

Steinberg’s background includes sales, programming, marketing and news.  

Prior to joining KMIR, Steinberg was GM of KMIZ Columbia, Mo.
