Good Start For ‘Kris,’ ‘The Real’ Test Runs

Kris Jenner’s daytime talk show Kris from Twentieth Television got off to a solid start in its summer test on a handful of Fox TV Stations yesterday as did The Real, a panel talk show from Warner Bros. Both shows debuted to a 1.1 household rating and 3 share, based on Nielsen metered-market ratings.

Kris, with Kris Jenner from E!’s Keeping Up with the Kardashians, was flat compared to its timeslot average last year but up 38% from its lead-in and up 150% from its lead-in among women 18-34, 100% among women 18-49 and 75% among women 25-54.

On average, Kris had a 0.7/4 in the women 25-54 demo and 0.6/5 in women 18-49.

Kris is airing on six Fox stations for a six-week test: WNYW New York, KTTV Los Angeles, KDFW Dallas, KSAZ Phoenix, KMSP Minneapolis and last-minute addition WJZY Charlotte, N.C.

Kris’ best performance was in Dallas with a 1.5/4. In New York, Kris had a 1.1/4. In Los Angeles, among women 25-54 and women 18-49, the show ranked No. 1 in its time slot against Katie, Dr. Phil and Steve Harvey.

Meantime, The Real, with five co-hosts including comedian Loni Love, averaged a 1.1/3 in households, up 38% from its time slot average a year ago. It was down 8% from its lead-in in households, but up 100% among women 18-34, 60% among women 18-49 and 80% among women 25-54.

The Real averaged a 0.9/6 among women 25-54 and 0.8/6 in women 18-49. Its best performance was a 1.6/5 on WTXF Philadelphia. In New York, leading out of Kris, it improved on that show with a 1.3/4.

The show, produced by Telepictures, is getting a four-week test run on Fox TV Stations WNYW New York, KTTV Los Angeles, WTXF Philadelphia, WTTG Washington, KRIV Houston, KSAZ Phoenix and WTVT Tampa, Fla.
