The station owner extends the deadline, citing “substantial progress” in talks with the satellite carrier.
Graham, Dish Close To Retrans Deal
Graham Media stations remain on Dish Network as a result of “substantial progress” toward a retransmission agreement, the station group said Wednesday night.
“We are very pleased to announce that at the eleventh hour we have made substantial progress in our negotiations with Dish, and because of that we will continue to work diligently towards a final agreement.”
The stations involved are WDIV Detroit; KPRC Houston; WKMG Orlando, Fla.; KSAT San Antonio, Texas; and WJXT Jacksonville, Fla., plus WPLG Miami, which Berkshire Hathaway purchased last year from Graham predecessor Post-Newsweek Stations.
