Gray Celebrates Record Year With Vacations

President Bob Prather: "We had an all-time record year of both revenues and profits in 2012. A big part of our success was the hard work and dedication of each of our employees." Seventy-eight employees will receive two extra days off this year.

Gray Television Inc. informed employees today that they will receive extra paid time off.

As a reward and gesture of appreciation for a record-setting year, seventy-eight full-time employees will have two more vacation days to enjoy during the 2013 calendar year.

In a message to all Gray Television employees, President Bob Prather said: “We had an all-time record year of both revenues and profits in 2012. A big part of our success was the hard work and dedication of each of our employees.”

Among all Gray television stations across the country, WSAZ Charleston-Huntington, W.Va. (DMA 65), was the top performer. The station’s VP-GM Don Ray echoed Prather’s sentiments, stating: “We’re proud to be part of a great company like Gray TV. And to be the leader among all Gray stations in revenue, ratings and digital traffic says a lot about our people here.”

Part-time employees at WSAZ will also benefit from the award.  Vacation time will be prorated according to hours worked.
