Gray Ups Conklin To VP, Corp. Programming

The expanding group owner promotes programming director Greg Conklin. In his new position, he'll have oversight of all its 140 program streams, as well as music licensing, ratings analysis and promotions coordination.

Gray Television Inc. today promoted industry veteran Greg Conklin to its new vice president of corporate programming.

Since January 2010, Conklin has been Gray’s director of programming, assisting Gray stations with their program lineups and multicast efforts.

In his new position, Conklin will continue to oversee all 140 program streams, as well as music licensing, ratings analysis and promotions coordination.

Prior to joining Gray, Conklin spent 16 years at Katz Television, focusing primarily on programming strategy for Katz’s local television station clients.

“Gray promoted Greg Conklin to vice president in recognition of his tireless work on behalf of our quickly growing portfolio of local stations over many years and in a rapidly changing competitive environment,” said Hilton Howell, Gray’s CEO-president.

Nice promotion Greg. Long way from the Katz days as my station rep. Hope you still not commuting into NYC.
