GSN Names Tim Carry EVP Of Distribution

GSN today appointed Tim Carry executive vice president of distribution, effective immediately. Carry reports to CEO Mark Feldman and is based in the company’s New York office. 

In his role, Carry is responsible for working closely with key decision makers at MVPD’s to maximize distribution of GSN.  

Carry joins GSN from Fox News where he was EVP of affiliate sales and marketing. During his 20-year tenure with the company, Carry was responsible for the national distribution sales and marketing for the network’s record-breaking launch in 1996 and was an executive team member for the network, overseeing Fox News’ substantial growth in affiliate revenue during four renewal cycles. 

Previously, Carry worked at NBC Cable, which he joined in 1992 as manager of affiliate relations in the Midwest, overseeing distribution sales and contract affiliations for both CNBC and MSNBC.

In early 1993, Carry was promoted to director of affiliate sales, Northeast region for NBC Cable, overseeing a seven-state region including New York City, Boston, Hartford and the Philadelphia TV markets. 

Carry began his career in 1982 at Maclean Hunter Cable TV in Detroit.

He is a graduate of Michigan State University with degrees in economics and telecommunications.
