Heartland Diginet Launches On WLPS Myrtle Beach

Luken Communications has launched its Heartland Network multicast network on Dilicast Broadcast Services-owned WLPS-CD Lumberton-Pembroke (the Myrtle Beach-Florence, S.C., DMA: No. 129).

Heartland features country music and lifestyle programming composed of syndicated and first-run shows along with digitally restored content from the vaults of Music Row. WLPS is running it over-the-air on ch. 14.3 in addition to sister Luken network, The Family Channel, which continues to broadcast on ch. 14.1.

Sam Garfield, president of Dilicast, said: “There’s nothing else quite like Heartland in the marketplace today.  From the legends of country to the sounds of tomorrow, this network offers country music fans the total family-friendly entertainment package.” Smith added, “When it came time to broaden our channel offerings, Heartland was the perfect choice.”
