Herb Ford Joins Live Well As National Account Exec

Herb Ford today was named national account executive for the Live Well Network, the broadcast, online and wireless service for digital channels in local markets owned by the ABC Owned Television Stations Group.

In this newly created position, Ford will be responsible for national advertising sales for the lifestyle programming service now rolling out across the country and currently available to 60% of U.S. television households.

Ford’s appointment, effective April 2, was announced today by Emily Barr who oversees the Live Well Network in addition to serving as president-GM of ABC-owned WLS Chicago. Ford will report to Barr and will be based in New York at the offices of ABC National Television Sales.

Ford previously was an account executive for the Disney ABC Television Group’s SOAPnet cable television network since 2007, where he developed media schedules, multiplatform packages and promotions for a wide range of advertisers and agencies. Earlier, he held sales positions as account executive, direct response, for SOAPnet and the ABC Television Network; associate director, SOAPnet; and manager, SOAPnet.

Ford is a graduate of Delaware State University, where he received a B.S. in marketing.
