Housaman To Lead Your Alaska Link Newsroom

Alaska station group owner Coastal Television Broadcast Co. has named Lindsay Housaman the news director of its Your Alaska Link News Room, providing Alaska statewide news coverage and news distribution.

Housaman began her career in journalism at WIS Columbia, S.C., in the sports department. She has taken on various positions and leadership roles at stations in Colorado, Missouri, Oklahoma and South Carolina; and most recently as an anchor at WTGS Savannah, Ga. Housaman participated in the launch of Raycom’s WMBF Myrtle Beach, S.C.

Housaman is a broadcast journalism graduate of the University of South Carolina.

Housaman replaces Stevie French who has been working the anchor desk for several weeks and is leaving early next month to return to South Africa.

Coastal Television owns and operates KTBY, the Fox affiliate in Anchorage, Alaska. Coastal also oversees the advertising sales and other services under arrangements with KYUR and KWBX-DT in Anchorage. Under an agreement between Coastal and the owner of KATN and KWFA-DT in Fairbanks, and KJUD and KWJA-DT in Juneau, Coastal provides certain of the stations’ non-network programming.
