IB Adds Scott Libin As Content Solutions VP

The former station news director and Poynter Institute faculty member will oversee and build Internet Broadcasting’s line of services and products.

Internet Broadcasting announced today that it has hired broadcast industry veteran Scott Libin as its new vice president of content solutions. Libin brings more than 25 years of experience in broadcast and digital journalism to IB. In this new role, Libin will oversee and build on IB’s multi-million-dollar set of managed services and products.

IB provides digital publishing solutions for media companies including Hearst Television, McGraw-Hill Broadcasting and Post-Newsweek Stations. Its digital solutions include a publishing platform, high-response advertising products, and content to connect with viewers across all digital media. IB’s Content Solutions include 24/7/365 delivery of world, national, breaking and lifestyle news.

Additional offerings include copy editing and an ongoing curriculum of best practices for digital business growth.

Prior to his new role at IB, Libin was news director at WCCO Minneapolis. Previous news director roles included KSTP Minneapolis and WGHP Greensboro, N.C., market. Libin spent seven years on the resident faculty of The Poynter Institute, a school for journalists in St. Petersburg, Fla. In that role, Scott led seminars for reporters, producers, editors, anchors and managers, specializing in leadership and ethical decision-making.  Scott also was managing editor of Poynter Online. He has worked as a consultant and trainer for dozens of news organizations and has taught internationally from South Africa to China.
