BroadStream Solutions, an automated playout specialist, is poised to integrate all of its existing and future OASYS playout technology and next-generation news workflow tools into its HTML5 compliant multi-channel Web client.

With a framework that can run in-facility, in the cloud, on standalone servers, VM (virtual machines), or local edge servers, the multichannel Web client has been updated with new features that include the integration of OASYS redundancy manager, router control and advanced OASYS player capabilities that will be shown for the first time at IBC 2015 (Sept 11-15).
 
“We’ve made multichannel Web client the basis for all future UI developments within BroadStream, setting a new industry standard in terms of flexibility and control that will facilitate straightforward cloud playout and virtualization,” said Herbert Brenninkmeijer, CEO of BroadStream Solutions.
 
Users can access the multichannel Web client to monitor and control playout of a single channel or multiple channels from a tablet, smart phone, laptop or desktop, on a variety of platforms, including iOS, Android and Chrome.
 
The multichannel Web client offers completely customizable, templated, user-defined operator views that can be scaled automatically to any device with the ability to display an overview of channels as well as the ability to drill down into a specific channel’s playlist, the playlist editing interface, errors status, timeline, etc. The intuitive user interface uses a simple traffic light system to alert the user to minor or critical faults that may occur during playout.
 
With the multichannel Web client all communications run over Web-based HTTP, HTML and XML so that one user can control multiple channels and make universal changes; or multiple users can monitor and control specific channels or operations with the option of limited access where required.
