IDC Names Chris Barrett VP Of R&D

Chris Barrett, formerly the VP of engineering for the Ottawa-based Stratford Managers, has joined International Datacasting Corp. as its VP of research and development. IDC offers video, audio and data contribution and distribution solutions to broadcasters. 

With Barrett’s addition to the IDC team, the company has added extensive experience in engineering management, R&D and operations. He has seven awarded or pending patents for data networking technology. Prior to joining Stratford Managers, Barrett was VP of engineering at Pleora Technologies where he led all R&D and operations activities.

Barrett has also held engineering management roles in companies of all sizes, from start-ups to large enterprises such as Nortel, Alcatel and CIENA.
