Imagine Communications Names Sykes VP, Sales

Imagine Communications, a provider of advanced digital video solutions, today announced the appointment of telecommunications veteran David Sykes as vice president, sales.  He will report directly to Imagine’s CEO Richard Stanfield and lead the company’s sales team.

“David has an impressive and successful track record growing telecommunications companies, and we’re pleased to have him join our team,” said Stanfield. “David’s vast experience will serve Imagine well as we continue to focus on delivering the best quality and most efficient solutions to our North American cable customers, while expanding our reach to new countries and service providers working to deliver consistent quality video across multiple screens and viewing devices.”

Before joining Imagine, Sykes was VP of sales and marketing strategy for Opnext. Opnext acquired StrataLight Communications in January 2009 when he became VP of sales and marketing. Prior to StrataLight, he spent more than six years at Turin Networks as VP of market development. Prior to Turin, Sykes held various leadership positions at Nortel Networks, Bay Networks and Network Equipment Technologies.  He holds a B.S. in electrical engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta.
