The former CBS crime drama from producers Ridley Scott and Tony Scott to joins Flashpoint, Criminal Minds, Cold Case and Leverage for the network’s 2012-13 season.

Ion Television today announced the addition of the police procedural series Numbers to its expanding general entertainment programming lineup. The content deal with CBS Television Distribution includes all six seasons (118 episodes) of the show. Numbers is set to premiere on Ion during the 2012-13 television season.

Numbers has a proven track record and features a strong cast with storylines that will resonate with our Ion audience,” said Brandon Burgess, CEO, Ion Media Networks. “The series aligns perfectly with our general entertainment schedule and is a natural next step in our syndicated series expansion strategy.”

Numbers was created by Nicolas Falacci and Cheryl Heuton, both executive producers of the series, along with executive producers Ridley Scott and Tony Scott. The series was produced by The Barry Schindel Co. and Scott Free Productions in association with CBS Television Studios. Numbers aired for six seasons on CBS, concluding in 2010.

The Numbers deal follows another key programming addition for the network, as Ion recently announced its first exclusive broadcast partnership with WWE for the original series WWE Main Event. Numbers also joins Ion’s “Positively Entertaining” lineup of hit series, including the original show Flashpoint, as well as off-net episodes of Criminal Minds, Cold Case and Leverage.
