Ion Sets New Carriage Deal With DirecTV

Ion Media Networks today announced a new long-term agreement for Ion Television’s nationwide carriage on DirecTV.

The agreement covers the distribution of Ion’s flagship network, Ion Television, on DirecTV’s broad platform of subscribers for years to come. Additionally, Ion Television will now be offered in high-definition on the satellite service and will remain available to subscribers nationwide through East and West Coast time zone feeds. Terms were not disclosed.

“We are pleased to have expanded our long-standing relationship with DirecTV that dates back to 2006, when Ion Television was formed,” said Brandon Burgess, Ion chairman- CEO.
