Ion Television Unveils New Season, New Look

The programming service’s fall launch week kicks off tonight, highlighted by the season 4 premiere of original series Saving Hope at 11 p.m. ET.

Beginning today, Ion Television will introduce a new graphics package. The new look, falling under its established “Positively Entertaining” tagline, coincides with Ion’s fall programming launch, which kicks off tonight with a new season of Criminal Minds and the season four premiere of the original series Saving Hope. This week also marks the launch of new seasons of Blue Bloods and Law & Order: SVU.

Ion said its refreshed logo, featuring a square-dotted “i,” represents an evolution of the network’s prior version. Another prominent aspect of the new graphics package is a focus on color, which is used to highlight the variety of Ion’s “Positively Entertaining” lineup.

“Ion Television’s new look is a reflection of our brand’s maturity and the growth we set out to achieve when launching the network nearly ten years ago,” said Brandon Burgess, chairman-CEO of Ion Media Networks. “The contemporary new package is a perfect complement to our compelling slate of programming, and we’re excited to give fans new episodes of their favorite series.”

Ion Television’s fall launch will be supported by a multi-tiered advertising campaign targeting consumers and advertisers through multiple platforms, including cross-channel, print, digital and out-of-home promotion. Focusing on the network’s refreshed look and the launch of new seasons of its top shows, the campaign will appear nationally on DirecTV and Dish, and in 10 TV markets, including New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Philadelphia and Boston.

Ion Television has also updated its digital offerings to mirror the new look for online viewers, including its http://iontelevision.com website, as well as the mobile app, available on iOS and Android.
