Jeff Hogan Named New WRAL Morning Anchor

Television news veteran Jeff Hogan will join the Morning News team at Capitol Broadcasting’s NBC affiliate WRAL Raleigh, N.C. (DMA 25), beginning Jan. 29, 2018.

He will work alongside Renee Chou, Elizabeth Gardner, Brian Shrader and Lena Tillett along with long-time morning anchor Bill Leslie who is retiring in June.

Hogan has worked for WBNS Columbus, Ohio, since 1998 in a variety of roles. He is currently anchoring weekend newscasts for WBNS and during his tenure there served as morning news anchor and primary sports anchor. He has won multiple Emmy and Associated Press awards as well as an Edward R. Murrow Award for breaking news coverage.

Prior to his 1998 start in Columbus, Hogan covered sports at television stations across the country including stops in New Jersey, New York, Texas and Virginia.

Hogan will serve in a variety of roles at WRAL and will eventually replace Leslie on the anchor desk.

Hogan attended the University of Rhode Island on a full football scholarship.
