Jeff Vaughn Joins KCBS-KCAL News

Anchor and reporter Jeff Vaughn will join the KCBS-KCAL Los Angeles (DMA 2) news team beginning Nov. 30. 

Vaughn, who currently is an anchor at WXYZ Detroit, will primarily serve as an anchor on KCAL’s weeknight primetime newscasts. In addition, he will contribute to other KCAL and KCBS newscasts.

Vaughn has spent more than 10 years in Detroit, most recently with WXYZ since January 2013. Previously, he worked in the Motor City as an anchor and reporter with WDIV for seven-and-a-half years (1999-2007).

His background also includes experience anchoring newscasts at KENS San Antonio, Texas; KSHB Kansas City, Mo.; KCBD Lubbock, Texas; and KMID Midland, Texas.

Vaughn graduated from Kansas State University. He started his career in broadcasting with KNSS-AM Wichita, Kan., before moving into television news.
