Jim Hess Named WISH-WNDY Local Sales Manager

Media General has named Jim Hess local sales manager of its WISH (CBS) and WNDY (MNT) Indianapolis (DMA 27).

Effective Monday, Jan. 19, Hess will spearhead local sales efforts for the two stations, and LIN Digital’s products and marketing solutions that are sold to local clients.

Hess has spent the last 10 years as director of sales for Telemundo National Sales in both Dallas and Atlanta.

Beginning his career as an account executive with Blair Television in Houston, he worked his way up through the company until eventually being appointed VP-sales manager of Blair Television in Saint Louis.

Hess has also served in sales roles with KPRC and KHTV, both Houston.

WISH is no longer the CBS station in Indy. That shifted to WTTV on January 1. WISH is now a CW affiliate.

Another MAJOR omission of facts by TV Newsday. WTF! Get with it, writers. Virtually everyone in the TV business knows WISH lost its CBS affiliation effective 1 January 2015. Yet here we see another sub-headline by a ‘staff’ writer at TV Newsday that is erroneous!
