Joeseph Martinez Named KTLM Weather Anchor

Telemundo-owned KTLM Harlingen-Weslaco-Brownsville-McAllen, Texas (DMA 86), today appointed Joeseph Martinez weather anchor for Noticias Telemundo 40 fin de semana. Martinez, whose first day with KTLM is today, joins news anchor Ana Cecilia Mendez, and sports anchor Hector Zapata

Martinez will make his on-air debut in late February.

Martinez joins KTLM after concluding his broadcast meteorology internship at WIPR San Juan, P.R., in 2015. Before this, Martinez also conducted climatology research at the National Weather Service in Brownsville.

He earned his bachelor’s degree in mathematics from the University of Puerto Rico and is a member of the American Meteorological Society, Puerto Rico chapter.
