Joey Parker Named Co-Anchor Of KMIZ News
Joey Parker, assistant news director of News-Press & Gazette Co.-owned ABC affiliate KMIZ Columbia-Jefferson City, Mo. (DMA 138), will add additional duties as co-anchor of the 6, 6:30, 9 and 10 p.m. editions of ABC 17 News beginning Monday, Jan. 20.
Parker joined ABC 17 news in August of 2013. Prior to that, he was news director and anchor at WUTR Utica, N.Y.
Before that, Parker was an anchor and assistant new director in Gainesville, Fla. He also has worked in Casper, Wyo.; Montgomery and Dothan, Ala.
