Journal Names Joe Poss GM Of WTMJ
Journal Broadcast Group has named Joe Poss vice president and general manager of NBC affiliate WTMJ Milwaukee (DMA 34). The appointment is effective Feb. 17 and Poss succeeds Steve Wexler who Journal named named EVP of radio last month.
Since 2011, Poss has been GM of Journal-owned WGBA (NBC) and WACY (MNT) Green Bay, Wis.
Prior to that, Poss was the stations’ general sales manager for six years.
He also previously served as local sales manager of Journal’s KTNV Las Vegas, and in regional sales and account executive roles at Fox Television stations in Miami and Minneapolis.
Poss holds a bachelor’s degree in mass communication from the University of Minnesota.
