Juan Carlos Gutierrez New KECE-KVSN Anchor
Entravision Communications Corp. today announced the addition of Juan Carlos Gutierrez as new anchor for its Univision affiliates KCEC Denver and KVSN Colorado Springs-Pueblo, effective Jan. 17. In his new role, Gutierrez will deliver daily local and national headlines on the Noticias Univision Colorado local evening newscasts every weekday at 5 and 10 p.m. on KCEC-KVSN.
Gutierrez joins Entravision from Latino Media Group and INN, where he was managing editor for the company’s Spanish shows. He began his career as a television broadcaster in 2002 at Telemundo as a producer, reporter and backup sports anchor in markets including Denver, New York City and Chicago.
In 2006, he joined the Independent News Network in Davenport, Iowa, as host and producer of Noticiero 24 San Diego and Border, a news show broadcast simultaneously in the United States and Mexico.
Later in 2007, Gutierrez joined UVM Azteca America Television Group, where he initially was the lead anchor for the local Atlanta news, and later anchored and produced local shows in Texas and Las Vegas.
Prior to his work in television, Gutierrez produced and hosted a Spanish-language radio program in Summit County, Colo. He graduated from Externado University in Bogotá, Colombia, with a degree in social communication and journalism.
