Katie Ferrell Joins WCMH News Team

Media General-owned NBC affiliate WCMH Columbus, Ohio (DMA 32), has named Katie Ferrell co-anchor of NBC4 Today and NBC4 Midday. Ferrell will co-anchor the newscasts with Mike Jackson. She will join WCMH in early August.

Ferrell has been weekend morning anchor at WDAF Kansas City, Mo., since 2011. Prior to that, she spent four years at KHAS Hastings, Neb.

Before that, Ferrell was an anchor/reporter at the KOMU Columbia, Mo. She anchored the Sunday newscasts and worked as a digital journalist, covering assignments as a photographer, reporter and editor.

She is a University of Missouri School of Journalism graduate with a broadcast journalism degree.
