‘Katie’ Now Cleared In 93% Of The U.S.

Disney-ABC Domestic Television’s one-hour, live early fringe syndicated talk show Katie has been sold in 95 of the top 100 markets in advance of this fall’s debut.

In four months, Katie Couric’s new nationally syndicated talk show Katie has been cleared in 93% of the country, it was announced today by Janice Marinelli, president, Disney-ABC Domestic Television. Katie will premiere in September 2012.

Disney-ABC Domestic Television has secured station clearances and key early fringe time periods for the live one-hour daily daytime talk show in 95 of the top 100 markets.

In addition to the ABC Owned station group, Katie has also been sold to leading stations from broadcast groups including Allbritton Communications, Belo Corp., Cox Media Group, Gannett Broadcasting, Granite, Griffin, Hearst Television, LIN Broadcasting, McGraw-Hill, Media General, Meredith, Raycom, Scripps Howard Broadcasting, Sinclair and Young Broadcasting.

In addition to hosting this new syndicated program, Couric is also a member of the ABC News team. Katie will be executive produced by Katie Couric and Jeff Zucker.
