Katz Names Brent Taravella SVP-CFO

Clear Channel Communications’ rep firm Katz Media Group today named Brent Taravella senior vice president, chief financial officer. He will oversee all financial matters for Katz Media Group and the Total Traffic Network, also a subsidiary of Clear Channel, and report to Kevin Dorsey, president of Clear Channel National Media Groups.

Taravella joins Katz from Fox Television Stations where most recently he was the VP, finance and administration, for Fox Stations Sales. During his tenure, he was an integral part of the team that created the division and now comprises 13 offices across the U.S.

His prior positions at Fox Television include VP, finance, for Fox Television’s flagship station WNYW  New York, and VP, finance, for KTBC-KVC Austin, Texas. Earlier in his career, Taravella held financial positions at Belo’s WFAA Dallas, ABC Radio Networks and Occidental Chemical Corp.

He is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin and holds an MBA from Southern Methodist University–Cox School of Business.

Taravella will be stationed in Katz’s New York City offices.
