KBAK-KBFX Tap Jessee As News Director

Fisher Broadcasting’s duopoly in Bakersfield, Calif. (DMA 125 KBAK (CBS) and KBFX (Fox) have hired Cristi Jessee as news director beginning Aug. 16. Jessee is currently news director of KSAX Alexandria, Minn.

Jessee holds B.A. in media communications from Bethel University and has 14 years of experience in local news, including stints as an editor, producer and multimedia journalist. She began her career while in college as a production assistant at KARE Minneapolis.

Fresh out of college she landed a reporter/photographer job at WDAZ Grand Forks, N.D., then moved to KTHV Little Rock, Ark.  This move back to the west coast marks a return for her, after working as multi-media journalist in Sacramento, Calif., at KXTV and previously as an entertainment field producer at KCBS Los Angeles.
